Our Story

I had been living in Tucson for four years, but felt alone. After two cross-country moves, my friends were scattered across different states, everyone from college jetted off after graduation, and my family lived back on the East Coast. Without the support system I was used to, I felt shy and hesitant to "get out there". Plus, I didn't know where "out there" was, or how to find it. I was actively seeking out local, face to face interaction, but coming up short. ⠀

I found myself craving the opportunity to find other people that were interested in doing things that I was interested in doing, too. I started brainstorming...

How could I go from feeling isolated & alone to being part of a community of like-minded women?

The answer ended up being simple, but so powerful: craft workshops. By giving people a comfortable place to gather, learn new skills, and do something hands-on, the connecting came naturally. Finally.

At every workshop since, I’ve watched total strangers step outside their comfort zones to have conversations over creativity and learning. And after every event, our guests share with me how they’ve been looking for an opportunity like this – a community like this – for so long, but hadn't known exactly what it was until they walked into a Creative Tribe workshop.

Whether you're looking for a fun night out with your girlfriends, a chance to meet people or a few hours to get creative, come on out to a workshop. We'll be there to welcome you!

Meet our Team

Theresa Delaney

Hey there! I'm Theresa, a brand strategist, dog mom and Ravenclaw.

I started Creative Tribe a few months after leaving my 8 to 5 to launch my first business. After hovering by the food table at a few networking events, I realized that it's really hard to meet new people and make friends. All of that changed after our first workshop!

When I'm not at my desk, you'll find me trying a new restaurant downtown or catching up on (one of my many) shows with my pups.

Gabby Abou-Zeid

Social Media Coordinator

Gabby here, nice to meet you!

As the Social Media Coordinator here at Creative Tribe, I handle the day-to-day ongoings for our social media channels and online community, and love getting to engage with you all!

I'm a Sustainable Communities student at the University of Arizona, cat mom, and Tucson native.

Outside of work and school, you can catch me baking (and eating) sweets, watching home improvement shows, and taking on too many creative projects at once.

Naima Rutlin

Event Producer

Hi! I’m Naima, fan of all things celebration, book lover and #1 auntie!

I am the Event Producer at Creative Tribe which means I work on every stage of the event planning process. I'll be here to help you connect and grow within this community at every event and beyond!

I'm a Tucson-native but have lived all around. Through family and my love of sunshine I have found my way back home to the land of cactus! Along the way, I've learned a few things: balloons are always a good idea, keep a wine opener handy and never forget to pack a swimsuit and a party dress.

Hilari Ross

Studio Event Coordinator

Hey! Hi! Hello! It’s Hilari! I'm here to make your special occasion that more magical. I'm excited to bring unique experiences to your everyday life via studio rentals private workshops tailored to your celebration.

I consider myself a Southwestern Belle. I grew up in Charleston, South Carolina but was born here in Tucson and have been here for over 10 years now. I have a passion for planning and a good theme truly brings me joy.

When someone asks what I do in my spare time, the answer is…go to dinner! I guess you could call me a ‘foodie’ as a good meal with great people is one of my favorite things. But my puppy is up there too!
