Meet the Interns: Suyin
This semester, Creative Tribe took on five interns and volunteers! We're so grateful to have them to help out at events and contribute to ongoing projects, like the blog and identifying potential partners. Since you'll be seeing them around, we'd thought we'd introduce them to you here!
How do you spend your time when you’re not at Creative Tribe?
When I’m not at Creative Tribe I like to spend my time with my friends. We usually end up eating enormous amounts of food. Whenever I have the time and money I really enjoy traveling, too. I am originally from Flagstaff and I ended up in Tucson because I wanted to go to the U of A.
What is your favorite thing about Creative Tribe?
My favorite thing about Creative Tribe is that it really is for everyone. I think that no matter who you are you can find something that you like with Creative Tribe. It’s aimed to help you meet new people and has workshops that are fun and you don’t have to be particularly good at to enjoy!
What is your favorite creative outlet?
I like going on Pinterest and finding new things to make. One of my favorite things to make is melted crayon art because it’s so easy but really beautiful.
Of all your intern responsibilities, which is your favorite?
I like being at events and learning about the entrepreneurial and business aspects about Creative Tribe.
What projects are you currently working on at Creative Tribe?
I am currently working on a promo video and helping manage Instagram and Pinterest. I am proudest about managing Pinterest because I really get to pick out things that I find interesting and would be useful for Creative Tribe.
What is one creative art form you wish you were better at?
I wish that I were better at drawing. I really am super terrible at it. I can’t even draw good stick figures!
What is your favorite spot in Tucson?
My favorite spot in Tucson is probably Seven Falls. I recently went there and fell in love. I like hiking and when you get there it’s gorgeous view!
