Flower Crowns + Braid Bar Workshop

On September 24, a beautiful "fall" day (desert fall, that is), we met at Belle Starr Salon in South Tucson for our Flower Crown + Braid Bar workshop.

The space was so dreamy; flooded with natural light and lined with fresh flowers from Best Buds Botanical. There was a delicious charcuterie spread, and scrumptious pastries from Time Market. Our mouths are watering just thinking about those sticky buns!

As all the guests began to arrive, everyone toured the space and, of course, snagged a couple photos of the picture-perfect set ups. The space had a large front room, a kitchen, a back room, and even a backyard, which we used to set up a photo station. It was the perfect amount of space to fit all of us, including Cass' dogs, Coco and Pearl – they absolutely stole the show.

Everyone absolutely LOVED the signs that Ashley from Modern Aquarian Lettering made for our workshop. Ashley is extremely talented at hand lettering and her signs added the perfect special touch to our event decor!

The workshop kicked off with a quick intro of our special guest experts, then Brittany, from Best Buds Botanical, started us off! She gave us a quick how-to about making your own flower crowns and then set everyone free to get creative. Brittany supplied such a wide range of fresh flowers that all of the flower crowns ended up being so diverse!

As everyone put their skills to the test, Cass from Belle Starr Salon, began the hair braiding. One by one, each person had a chance to sit in her salon chair and get their hair done. Braids were the perfect 'do to wear with the crowns, for each person to become their own boho flower queen.

Once everyone began to finish up their crowns, we trailed to the back yard to begin the photos! Everyone had their chance to step in front of the camera to show off their braids and flower crowns.

After photos, we all snacked on the delicious food spread and spent the rest of the time getting to know each other. When we called it a day, everyone skipped out wearing their new flower crowns with pride!
