Tales of the Cocktail Competition

6 – 9 p.m.

USBG Tucson is proud to present its 2nd annual “Do You Know NOLA?” Cocktail Competition! Challenge and cheer on your fellow Tucson bartenders to win a free trip to Tales of the Cocktail in New Orleans!

The competition consists of three parts: a written test, a classic cocktail speed round and an original cocktail presentation. The written test will be administered prior to doors.

All About Saguaros

Learn about the ecology and traditional uses of our most iconic desert plant, the saguaro cactus. We will discuss the importance of
saguaros as nesting habitat for birds, food for wildlife, traditional uses by the Tohono O'odham, and learn about the growth rates, flowering and fruiting cycles. This program is presented by Pima County Natural Resources.

MEOW Magazine is emerging from BETA mode into full digital production by the end of May 2017. On May 17, starting at 6pm at Tap & Bottle, MEOW is hosting a party/meet & greet for its contributors. As we boot up our production, we are looking for more contributors; not only writers, but also photographers, videographers, graphic designers, ad sales reps, and pretty much any talent that we can employ in our project. Come meet the people behind MEOW Magazine and drink some beer (or wine or soda).

Sake Tasting Sesh with Young's Market!

Come dive into the oft underappreciated fermentable - SAKE. At this Sake Sesh, you will sample 4 different sakes from Young's Market Company of Arizona whilst learning about the history of this beverage, how it is brewed, and the proper way to pour, sip, and enjoy.

Shop local & meet Tucson’s independent designers, makers & shops at our first ever SPRING pop-up market on Saturday, May 20th from 9am-4pm. Join us at "The FLASH" - 832 S. 6th Ave., where, for one day only, we’ll take over & reimagine an unused space to fill it with a pop-up market consisting of local goods, a floral shop, a coffee shop, and a community gathering space!

We're happy to continue pouring back into the community by donating a percentage of all markets sales to local non-profits in our community. The spotlight non-profit for this market is CommunityShare.

Capturing your goods in a high-quality, detailed snap is key to driving conversions on your website and social media. That's why product photography is essential – people want to see what they'll be buying!

Robyn will be leading a product photography demo to teach how to get beautiful images for all of your future creations. We'll talk camera basics, lighting, styling and more!

After the demo, you'll have time to shoot in our beautiful natural light studio, so be sure to bring a few items along with you. You'll have full access to our closet of potential props!
