This Is The Way We Begin And End Things: Poetry & Film

"Join the Hanson Film Institute and the UA Poetry Center for an hour-long conversation about collaboration through film and poetry with Ofelia Zepeda and Jonathan VanBallenberghe. The event will feature a screening of their collaborative film “O’odham Dances,” a reading of additional poetry by Zepeda, and thoughts from both artists on collaborative relationships and intersections."

Yoga Variations

"Join Jes Gale for an informative Friday night. This workshop includes two hours of physical practice, exploration, and rest. We will use the framework of a “full” power vinyasa class, cover basic alignment that is helpful for entering fundamental poses, and we'll find opportunities to practice these poses differently. We will work with standing poses, balancing poses, twists, backbends, shoulder openers, hip openers, and inversions. We will work with variations that make poses more challenging, and variations that make poses more restorative."

Product Photography Workshop with Hayseed Charm

10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Capturing your goods in a high-quality, detailed snap is key to driving conversions on your website and social media. That's why product photography is essential – people want to see what they'll be buying!

Robyn will be leading a product photography demo to teach how to get beautiful images for all of your future creations. We'll talk camera basics, lighting, styling and more!

After the demo, you'll have time to shoot in our beautiful natural light studio, so be sure to bring a few items along with you. You'll have full access to our closet of potential props!

The 34th Annual Tucson Poetry Festival

Mark your calendars for the 34th Tucson Poetry Festival! The theme for this year's festival is "Poetry and the People."

The festival will include a variety of events including absolutely free workshops, panel discussions, and readings from local, national and international poets all at 191 Toole in downtown Tucson.

This year we will be featuringJericho Brown, Erin Moure, Natalie Diaz, Ofelia Zepeda, Enrique Garcia and the winner of the Tucson Youth Poetry Slam.

Andy Warhol’s Empire

A rare & regionally unprecedented screening of Warhol’s 8-hour minimalist epic projected in its original 16mm film format. This is a benefit screening for Exploded View -$10.
