Escape the heat of summer and join us again for this annual series to enjoy free performances, artist demonstrations and more, every fourth Sunday of the summer. General admission* to the museum’s galleries is free all day, so gather the whole family and come to the Heard Museum for cool fun that kids of all ages will enjoy.

Join APA for our next FREE Meet Up at Foosia Asia Fresh. Our guest speaker will be colorist Nichole Kizer, who'll give us a preview of what attendees will learn about at our Post Production Workshop in June.

Niki Kizer is an award-winning editor, animator, and colorist who has been working professionally in the Phoenix area for over a decade. She contributes her talent and skills on projects ranging from local and national television commercials, to corporate videos, and full- length feature films. Niki employs a wide skill set from concepts through completion.

Fundamentals of Cake Decorating

9 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Experience the excitement of creating a special cake or dessert for that special occasion. The best way to do this is to start with the basics. These basic skills are taught step by step with practice time in class and encouragement for practice at home.

In this course you will make buttercream frosting, frost and fill a cake, and make impressive decorations such as drop flowers, rosettes, shells, stars and more. You will see just how easy and rewarding it is to decorate wonderful cakes and other desserts that will delight your family and friends.

All supplies for this class are furnished along with a basic kit just for you. This class starts promptly at 9:00 a.m. and ends at 3:30 p.m. with a 30 minute break for lunch.
