Pumpkin Carving + Caramel Apple Dipping Bar Community Event

One of our most relaxed events yet, our Pumpkin Carving Event was a drop in, open to all ages. Just before noon, the first groups of people began to trickle in. We gathered outside for this event, at the Brings Building Downtown Tucson, which will soon be the official home of Creative Tribe.

The sun was definitely out, but in the shade, there was the perfect amount of Autumn breeze. It was nice to be so close to Downtown Tucson, just outside of the hustle and bustle, but close enough to feel like part of the neighborhood.

We had set up three stations, each identified by the always stunning hand-lettered signs by Ashley from Modern Aquarian Lettering! The first station, of course, was the carving station, supplied with pumpkins, carving tools and stencils. Because this was a drop in, everyone was able to move at their own pace.

The drink station was definitely a hit, where cups were rimmed with cinnamon sugar and graham crackers - yum! And of course, apple cider was the perfect drink of choice to accompany the Fall festivities.

No Creative Tribe Workshop is complete without the tastiest of treats! Our third station was a caramel apple dipping bar, but with a twist! To make it easier to eat the apples, they were sliced and kabob-ed. There were bowls of caramel and chocolate for dipping, and for toppings we had nuts, marshmallows, coconut, and graham crackers! The perfect snack to satisfy a sweet tooth craving.

In no time, everyone’s carving designs started coming to life. We saw witches and cats and flowers, and a few classic jack-o-lanterns. Although there were all ages at this event, conversation and connection still came naturally. We loved seeing how easy it was for everyone to make friends in this creative environment.

None of this would have been possible without our sponsor, Whole Foods Market Tucson. They provided all of the pumpkins, refreshments, apples and toppings! Partnering with Whole Foods is what really brought this event to life, and we couldn’t be more grateful.
